All the Other Stuff
The Other Stuff?
It’s a well known fact that I am lousy about titles. I need one to pop into my head. It has not popped yet, so this is what I have.
I found my website getting too cluttered with “parent pages,” so I decided to simplify it with this. Different Voices does actually explain it, but I’m just not happy with the title.
I want my website to reflect the Coffee Chronicles now, but I also want it to include everything else I have done. Here it is.
I’ll work more on this later.
The “Others” List
This is where I’ll list, describe and make all the “others” everything look pretty. Eventually.
For right now, you can find everything (or should be able to) using the menu.
I just really need to get some other projects done right now but this was all bothering me so I took the first step. Accidently deleted it, so retook the first step.
Welcome to Chris’ World.
The Coffee Chronicles
Episode 5: The Mental Health Triangle
Five episodes in the books. I think I'm getting better at this: I didn't like I was going to puke when I hit the "record" button. I was able to settle in quickly and not be so monotone. But it is published, uploaded and now I am trying to remember the other places I...
Misadventures in Tijuana
If you don't have Facebook, you're missing out. I know some people who get these updates, though, aren't on Facebook so I thought I would add a few things. I've been hard at work on my book and podcast and they lend themselves to darker posts. On Facebook and...
Episode 4: Deeper into Aloha
Deeper into Aloha Episode Four is a wrap! I think I am getting better at this? The only technical difficulty I ran into this time was...I forgot to plug in my headphones so had to wait an hour before for them to recharge before I could record. I even managed to update...
Podcast!
Now had did this happen? Instead of a normal blog post, I'm seeing a podcast post thingie. Me vs my website: still a work in progress. I'm STILL searching for a title for the podcast. "Let's Get Named About Mental Health!" ???? But this is a bonus episode: A Lie of...
Episode 2: Into the Deep
Episode 2 is done, published and uploaded. You can listen to it from the webpage directly, linked below, and I have no idea if you can download it from your favorite app--I'm working on it. The battle between me and technology is almost on par with me vs Murphy...
Episode 1: Diving In
It's finished! Kind of. Okay, not quite, but I am getting there. I started my podcast and the first episode is a wrap. It is being hosted on Podbean and I still haven't figured out how to share the direct feed. You can listen to it on their server. Tomorrow, I will...
Into the Darkness
Yes, I have been procrastinating. You would too. A couple years ago, a friend, a psychiatrist, told me to step away from this project. But it is time. I had a funny conversation with another friend a few years back. For some reason, she always imagined me as the...
“A Visual Companion” Completed
Yes, yes, yes: I was spacing out these posts section by section. But then the project got away from me. And it was a project! Maybe I went a little overboard? But I wanted to wrap this up to move on to the next projects. I am working on the third (and possibly final)...
A Visual Journey Part Four
The project over two years in the making is coming along. I bring you part four: Ghosting Through the South. This is harder than it looks. All respect to photo editors and photographers. I took thousands of photos along my odyssey through Covid America. I am going...
A Visual Journey Part Three
Drifting in the Current The house was sold, the new owners were moving in the following day, and the car was kind of packed–I’d get better at it as I went. I made that last left turn out of my driveway, the right onto my bootlegging back road that would take me into...
Part Two: Struggling in Lockdown
Struggling in Lockdown “Struggling in Lockdown” is Part One of the book. Part One is where I struggled the most in writing the book, only second to the final part. I hadn’t hit my stride yet, gotten my rhythm. Rewriting it for the book was difficult, trying to piece...
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Iceland…
A friend just had to cancel her trip to Iceland. She came into contact with someone who had been exposed to Covid. To possibly cheer her up, I thought I would share my major screw up. So, under the "misadventures" category... I never got around to writing about the...
